About Us
Set in the center of Historic Micanopy, The Shop celebrates its 31st year in the same unique location. Owner and "whimsy wonder woman" Marlene Oberst has created room after room of "Oh Wow!" displays to inspire and delight your senses. The staff at The Shop will also help you with personalized service only found in small shops nowadays. The Shop comprises 3500 square feet of beautifully decorated rooms, chock full of treasures including vintage and contemporary home furnishings, folk art, seasonal decor, specialty decorator fare, unique collectibles, and much more. Themes and merchandise change from season to season (spring, summer, winter, fall) and during holidays. Some items are restocked, but most are original and one of a kind. Here you'll find a representation of the types of items we stock during smaller holidays and occasions and as the seasons change. We try to give you little tidbits of information throughout the tour and our personal decorating ideas. Not all items on the site may be available when you visit, but some may be.
